Employers have TWO options for connecting with students and alumni in 2026 – please choose the fair that best meets your recruitment needs.
***If you want to participate in both the in-person and virtual fair, you will need to register for each separately.***
These annual spring semester career fairs are open to employers interested in connecting with over 400 Design graduate students representing the architecture, landscape architecture, city and regional planning, historic preservation, real estate, spatial analytics, and fine arts programs. The fair is an excellent way for firms and organizations to make their work known and recruit for available full- and part-time positions, as well as summer internship opportunities. Lunch is included for employers at the in-person fair.
Students and alumni in the following industries and career fields will be in attendance:
- Architecture
- City and Urban Planning
- Landscape Architecture
- Historic Preservation
- Fine Arts
- Integrated Product Design
- Environmental Building Design
- Urban and Spatial Analytics
Participate in the career fair to enjoy these featured advantages:
- ACCESS TOP TALENT: Penn students are driven and engaged, and bring with them strong skills applicable to careers in design and planning fields.
- ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A PRESENCE AT PENN: Build a recruiting pipeline for future design candidates even if you currently don’t have opportunities
- ACCESS RESUME BOOKS: Resumes and portfolios will be available to employers from students who upload their materials. We will send additional information to employers ahead of the career fair with instructions on how to access the materials. Employers may reach out and connect with students that they are particularly interested in talking to, and arrange to meet before the career fair day or after the fair.
What is the format?
We are excited to be offering both in-person and virtual versions of the Design & Planning Career Fair this year. For the in-person fair, registration includes lunch for 3 attendees and each registered employer will have a 6-foot table for handouts, information, and displays, as well as a sign identifying the organization. Students will speak to employers at the tables.
For the virtual fair, employers will use the Handshake platform to schedule 1:1 and groups sessions with students. For more information on the Handshake virtual career fair experiences, please visit: Virtual Fairs in Handshake: A Guide for Employers.
Employers with specific job opportunities can identify these during the registration process by uploading positions to Handshake, and then easily linking to these during the registration process.
Registration Fees and Deadlines
The standard registration fee for the in-person fair is $200 per organization (we offer $75 for nonprofit/government organizations) and the standard registration fee for the virtual fair is $150 per organization ($75 for nonprofit/government organizations) which will be payable by credit card or check.
We offer an employer sponsorship registration option of $600 for employers interested in increasing their visibility with students during the in-person fair.
We encourage employers to register by January 16th as space is limited for the in-person fair.
