NEW! EFFECTIVE RESUMES FOR DESIGN STUDENTS GUIDE

Graduate students in the Weitzman School of Design may have noticed a new Career Services resource available to them: the Effective Resumes for Design Students Guide!

Whether you are a Design student who has never created a resume before, or if you just want to update your resume with your latest experience, this guide is for you.  Career Services staff has combed through dozens of resumes of Design students, and used them to illustrate what you should do (and what you should not do) when creating a resume.  The guide is chock full of examples from previous students who used their resume to search for internships or full-time jobs.

The Design Career Fair  is just two weeks away and 80+ employers are scheduled to attend.  They will be looking to recruit students for full-time jobs and internships, and they are eager to meet with you.  Before attending the fair, be sure to review the resume guide to ensure that you are putting your best foot forward.

If you would like to have your resume reviewed by Career Services prior to the Design Career Fair, you are welcome to schedule an individual appointment through Handshake, or come to our walk-in hours (Career Services, 3718 Locust Walk, Monday-Friday 2-3 PM or Meyerson B7, Wednesdays 12-1:45 PM).

We look forward to working with you and many thanks to City Planning student Lily Cheng for designing the guide!
