Welcome back! We are so excited to see students returning to campus and are looking forward to a great fall semester. As we previously announced, given the ongoing situation with COVID, all employer events coordinated by Career Services will be held virtually this fall, but we do have a lot planned and things will be starting in full-force next week with our virtual “Penn Only” employer information sessions! We have reserved next week (August 30th – September 3rd) for organizations who are scheduling information sessions specifically for Penn students. Of course, we anticipate hundreds of additional Penn only and multi-school information sessions throughout the coming year which will provide a great way for students to learn more about the opportunities available with an employer, get a sense for the organizational culture, and begin to build relationships with employees. The most updated list of employer information sessions can be found on Handshake Events tab or can also be found on the Career Services website events calendar.
Our virtual career fairs will also be happening soon on Handshake! Fairs taking place early in the fall are listed below. Keep in mind that you will need to sign up in advance for 1:1 meetings with employers as well as group sessions. Sign-ups for our first fair, CareerLink, start September 2nd!

- Bioscience & Research Fair – Thursday, October 7 | 12 pm – 5 pm
Finally, virtual “on-campus interviewing” applications are also open now on Handshake for many employers, with the first standard resume deadline occurring on Sunday, September 12th. To find OCI schedules on Handshake, look under “jobs” and then filter by “interviewing on campus”. The first day of OCI interviews will be September 22nd. Because we will not have employers physically in the interviewing suite we will also be allowing students to reserve the interviewing rooms so that they have a quiet place to conduct their interviews. We are still finalizing the reservation system for that process, so stay tuned!
