Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF) Program

Penn graduate students who expect to complete their degree by August, 2022 may be interested in exploring the Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF) Program.  The PMF Program is a flagship leadership development program for advanced degree candidates and is focused on developing the next generation of potential federal government leaders.  Penn had 8 graduate students named as finalists in 2021!

Candidates named as finalists have the opportunity to receive a two-year appointment at a GS-9, GS-11, or GS-12 level.  Most of the career opportunities are located in the Washington, DC area, but are also found in other areas of the country. Many finalists who accept the opportunity continue on to careers within the federal government, others move to private industry, or continue their education.

The 2022 PMF application process opens on Tuesday, September 28th and closes at noon ET on Tuesday, October 12th.  The announcement of the PMF Class of 2022 Finalists will be announced approximately 6 weeks after the application closes.

If you are interested in learning more about the PMF Program and the application process, please attend one of the upcoming information sessions hosted by the program.  Graduate students are welcome to schedule an appointment with a career advisor for assistance in preparing resumes for the application.  Schedule an appointment via Handshake today.
