This summer at FTV Capital was a whirlwind of learning and growth, immersing me into the
intersection of technology and finance. Every day was a deep dive into the growth equity
business model, from how to source a solid pipeline of companies through creative methods and hard work to how the firm harnesses its Global Partner Network of top-tier executives to supercharge the companies it invests in. I saw firsthand the power of building long term relationships that open doors and drive business growth—great things happen when innovative ideas get the resources and mentorship they need to thrive in competitive markets.
The aspect of the internship that resonated most with me was how FTV champions thematic
investing. By zeroing in on trends like the digital transformation of financial services or the rise of integrated payment solutions, I learned how FTV can spot opportunities that not only promise significant growth but also shape the future of industries. It was more than just about making smart investment choices; it was about understanding the broader impact these technologies could have on our day-to-day lives.
Additionally, I was truly inspired by FTV Capital’s emphasis on nurturing talent and mentorship. FTV’s supportive environment and its commitment to professional development have shown me how a company’s culture and values can significantly amplify its impact and success. This aspect of my summer experience has deepened my appreciation for workplaces that prioritize inclusivity and continual learning, shaping my aspirations for my future career path in finance.
