As a real estate development intern at Triten Real Estate Partners I had the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in all aspects of the real estate world.  I was able to further my understanding of the deep process that goes into the financials and application of any given project.  More importantly I learned the importance of the greater economy in real estate due to the extensive work in the industrial sector and the global supply chain.

With goals to open my own development firm in the future, Triten was the ideal place to work.  The small, but strongly growing team forced me to be hands on day 1 and part of all processes.  By understanding a project ground up, I feel a lot more comfortable in being able to run my own team one day.  Furthermore, their mission to develop communities through innovative mixed-use projects showed me exactly what I want to do in the future.

My time in Houston also helped me to understand the greater economy in ways outside of my job.  I’ve always had an interest in infrastructure and alternative real estate and saw the true need for power investment by living through a category 1 hurricane.  Power was out for weeks and it showed the weakness in the US and helped me to do my own research and direct my interests for the future.   Community development in real estate is my ultimate goal and this experience was invaluable.
