Join Career Services this spring for the Career Insights Series, a dynamic lineup of programs designed to help Penn graduate students and postdocs explore diverse career fields. This semester, the series will feature three key industries: Sustainability & the Environment, Consulting, and Higher Education Administration. Each week will focus on one of these fields, offering multiple sessions where you can hear from professionals and alumni, gain industry insights, and learn how to navigate job opportunities. Sustainability programs start next week in preparation for the All Ivy Environmental & Sustainable Development Career Fair at Columbia University. Check out these programs below:

Careers in the Energy Sector: Energy Week Alumni Panel | Tuesday, February 11th | 5:00-6:30pm

Interested in a career in the energy sector? The Kleinman Center for Energy Policy, along with Career Services and Wharton ESG, will host a panel discussion between accomplished alumni working in the field of energy which will focus on preparing students for a successful entrance into the energy sector. Panelists will discuss their career trajectories, the lessons they have learned, the trends that they observe, and will offer recommendations to students interested in entering this sector. This program will be an invaluable opportunity for students and advisors.

Prepare for the All-Ivy Environmental & Sustainable Development Career Fair | Thursday, February 20th | 12:00-1:00pm

Planning on participating in the All-Ivy Environmental & Sustainable Career Fair? Opportunities exist for Penn students and alumni to interact with employers both at the in-person fair at Columbia University on Friday, February 28th as well as virtually in the days leading up to the career fair. Join Career Services for this interactive program to assist you in learning how to navigate the career fair space, and how you can best prepare before you participate! This program will be recorded and the recording will be made available to students who register.

Building Your Sustainability Pathway at Penn: Opportunities for Experience and Impact | Friday, February 21st | 12:00-1:00pm

Are you a Penn graduate student passionate about sustainability and looking to turn your interests into impactful career opportunities? Join us for an interactive session with campus partners to discover ways to deepen your engagement with the field.

Learn about student clubs, internships, leadership opportunities, and funding resources that can help you gain valuable experience and make meaningful contributions to sustainability initiatives.

This event is presented in collaboration with the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy, Wharton’s Environmental, Social and Governance Initiative and Penn’s Environmental Innovations Initiative and The Water Center at Penn.

All-Ivy Environmental and Sustainable Development Career Fair | Friday, February 28th | 9:30-3:30pm

Areas of focus include but not limited to:

  • City, regional, and environmental planning, design and policy
  • Energy markets and renewable energy

  • International and community development
  • Product design, consumer goods and supply chain management
