This summer, I had the privilege of working with a search fund dedicated to entrepreneurship through acquisition, which gave me a front-row seat to the intricate world of business deals and strategy. The experience was both challenging and deeply engaging, allowing me to work on everything from financial analysis to market research and due diligence. I gained a much clearer understanding of how businesses are evaluated for acquisition and what factors can make or break a deal.
What stood out most was the opportunity to dive into the details—assessing the financials of potential acquisition targets, understanding their market positions, and determining their fit within a broader investment strategy. Each project required a thoughtful approach, blending financial data with strategic insights to build a compelling case. This hands-on work sharpened my analytical skills and gave me confidence in handling complex business decisions.
Beyond the technical work, one of the highlights of my summer was engaging with experienced entrepreneurs and investors. Their perspectives on the challenges and rewards of growing a business were invaluable, and these conversations inspired me to think more deeply about my own future in entrepreneurship. The exposure to their real-world experiences provided a richness to the internship that went far beyond what I could have learned in a classroom.
This opportunity was pivotal for me—one that solidified my passion for entrepreneurship and equipped me with valuable skills I’ll carry forward in my career. I’m incredibly grateful for the support that made this all possible and excited about what lies ahead.
