First-Gen Week celebrates the brilliance and resilience of a growing population

Did you know? The number of first-generation and limited-income (FGLI) students at Penn has increased by 45% since 2018! Today, nearly 1 in 4 Penn students identifies as FGLI. They’re involved in every facet of campus life, represent every school and major, and have gone on to achieve monumental successes in their post-graduate careers. Check out this Penn Today profile to learn more about how Penn First Plus is equipping FGLI undergraduates for success, both during and after their time at Penn. And join us for First-Gen Celebration Week (Nov. 7-14), where we recognize the many achievements of our remarkable first-gen community!
