Welcome back! We hope everyone had a great semester break and is feeling refreshed and ready for all that 2026 will bring!
Whether you are looking for a post-graduate job, a summer internship, getting ready to apply to a graduate program, or simply exploring majors or career fields, Career Services is here to help. Take time early in the new year to invest in YOU by exploring some of the highlighted resources below and pencil in some time on your calendar each week to take steps to move your career forward.
Career Fairs: Join us on January 23rd for the Penn Summer Opportunities and Funding Resources Fair (co-sponsored with CURF) where undergraduate students can meet with over 30 offices and organizations who have summer research, internship or funding opportunities. On January 30th students can meet with 60+ organizations at our Spring Career and Internship Fair. Other career fairs this spring focus on opportunities in STEM fields, sustainability, design, and real estate (organized by the Zell Lurie Real Estate Center.) See the complete career fair list here.
Career and Graduate School Advising: Schedule an appointment with a career advisor to discuss your career goals, review a resume or cover letter, or conduct a practice interview for that dream internship. Considering applying to graduate, medical or law school? We have advisors to help with that process as well! You can schedule an appointment through Handshake.
Online Resources: Penn students have a wealth of online resources to help you reach your career goals. Explore the 25+ industry-focused communities on the Career Services website, prepare for consulting interviews with Management Consulted or tech interviews with Exponent, or take the CareerExplorer assessment to help connect your interests, values and skills to specific industries. View (and apply to!) thousands of jobs and internships posted for Penn students and alumni on our Handshake platform.
Networking: Have questions about a specific career field or company? Wondering what alumni with your major did after Penn? Check out our Networking Resources to learn how to connect with one of Penn’s nearly 300,000 alumni who are typically very happy to talk with current students.
We look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks!
