INVENSITY Inc., is looking for an Engineering Consultant who will support in providing knowledge and expertise to clients in the automotive industry with future opportunities in other industries. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 workdays in the Detroit office.
Your possible roles and tasks
- Develop and implement innovative systems engineering solutions for our technology-driven customers (Uber, ZF, Bosch, Luminar, etc.)
- Responsible for different aspects of the system development lifecycle such as requirements, system architecture, test cases, and safety management
- Perform failure, variation, or root cause analyses for vehicle systems
- Define development processes, methods, and tools according to ASPICE best practices
- Present technical reports and hold status meetings with the client
- Collaborate with ambitious and professional colleagues on team projects
- Participate and acquire knowledge from soft and technical skill Academy Trainings
- Gain professional development support from experienced consultants through active engagement in INVENSITY’s mentorship program
Your profile
- Completion of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or similar fields of study (master’s degree preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in systems engineering, process management, method development and project management in the automotive industry
- 1+ years of requirements engineering background and familiarity with requirements management software such as DOORS and Jama are preferred
- Preferred experience working with and understanding Mathworks tools (Matlab/Simulink)
- Familiarity with safety analysis processes such as FMEA, FTA, and DFA
- Reflects strong soft skills such as the ability to clearly communicate, present technical concepts to stakeholders, and successfully build relationships
- Ability to work in teams by building trust with colleagues and accepting or providing constructive feedback
- Demonstrates proactivity by taking on new responsibilities and challenges with a positive mindset
- Interest in collaborating with experienced consultants on high-tech automotive client projects through logic and analytical thinking
