November Humanities/Social Science PhD Alumni Q&A Chat: Data Analysis

Are you a PhD student in the humanities or social sciences interested in learning more about a career in data analysis, or curious about what it’s like to work in the federal government?

Join us for this virtual Q&A chat with Sociology alumna, Natalie Young, Ph.D., ’19, Sociologist and Survey Statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau (https://www.linkedin.com/in/natalieaeyoung/). Dr. Young will discuss and answer questions about her professional role in the field of data analysis. She will provide advice on what you can do when you start your job search, and answer any questions you have related to her experience transitioning to a career outside of academia. This discussion will be a valuable resource for anyone considering working in data analysis or pursuing a career in the public sector after finishing the PhD – even if you are still several years from finishing up right now.

This program is open to all graduate students and postdocs.

Please register for this online event, and we will send you the online video link a few days before the event. If you have questions you would like the moderator to pose to Dr. Young, please send them to Helen Pho (helenpho@upenn.edu) in Career Services.
