Under the supervision of the School Programs Manager, the Educator position encompasses the presentation and support of programs that interpret the museum’s exhibits and collections for school audiences and the general public.
This position requires a natural ability to lead presentations, virtually and in person, for students and mixed audience groups. An ideal candidate has a passion for history and a natural talent to communicate knowledge in an engaging way. The Educator position works closely with the entire Interpretation team developing and evaluating program materials for presentations and web content. The position requires the ability to travel to presentation sites, strictly adhere to museum and school safety guidelines and protocols, and to comprehend and troubleshoot digital learning procedures. Candidate must be punctual and reliable; excellent time management, problem solving, and social skills are essential. Teaching experience preferred, and/or experience leading youth programs, and/or best practices in museum education.
