The Business

The Adobe Experience Cloud solutions provide thousands of enterprises with deep insight into their customers, along with creation and management of content, assets, and personalized campaigns. Adobe Analytics tracks over 30 billion customer interactions a day and provides real time, interactive insights into those data.

The Team

We are a core set of Software Engineers with a strong background in distributed computing running across thousands of nodes and processing billions of events per day. We have a wide range of experience and we’re looking for an intern to help us expand the functionality an existing (and very exciting!) system that currently powers real-time customer engagements across multiple Adobe Experience Cloud solutions.

Job Summary

We need a capable and amiable intern that loves learning new technologies and using it to deliver value. We are looking for someone passionate about life, liberty, and the pursuit of JVM-based greatness. A “code reader” with a desire to learn new things, work hard, and ultimately make our team look smarter.

What you’ll do:

  • Quickly understand existing codebase and contribute meaningful changes.
  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain large-scale applications.
  • Work with NoSQL databases that can store billions of records.
  • Work with queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, EventHub, etc.).
  • Develop/operate large, distributed, highly available services in a production environment.

How you’ll get it done:

  • Basic understanding of the software creation process and best practices.
  • Basic Understanding of a JVM language (Java, Scala, etc.).
  • Affinity for big-data and real-time processing technologies.
  • Real passion for learning, developing, and getting things to work. An endorphin seeker.
  • Fearlessness and curiosity when staring into the abyss of a repo you’ve never seen, but you now have to debug, update, validate, and deploy. Before Thursday.
  • A clear focus on pursing an internship as a steppingstone to a career, not just a summer job.
  • Ability to work well with introverts, extroverts, and bombastic personalities.
