Position Summary
We are seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to support investment activities across venture capital and private equity initiatives. This role offers hands-on exposure to live transactions, financial modeling, and strategic analysis across a diverse portfolio of companies.
You will work closely with the investment team to evaluate opportunities, support capital raising efforts, and develop the financial insights that drive investment decisions. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience in how deals are sourced, structured, and executed.
What You’ll Do
- Support capital raising efforts by preparing investor materials and analyzing financing structures, including SAFE conversion terms and preferred equity waterfalls.
- Build, maintain, and update operating models for existing portfolio companies while developing new models for prospective investment.
- Evaluate acquisition opportunities by constructing merger models.
- Develop investment memoranda and supporting analysis for prospective deals.
- Participate in due diligence processes, including financial review, market research, and validation of key assumptions.
- Assist in acquisition deal sourcing across targeted industries, including telehealth, communication services, and electronic protection services.
- Conduct market and competitive research to support investment theses and identify emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights for internal decision-making.
Who You Are
- Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in financial modeling and Google Sheets.
- Foundational understanding of corporate finance concepts, including valuation and capital structures.
- Ability to interpret term sheets and investment documents is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong interest in venture capital, private equity, and company building.
