Duties and Responsibilities:
The Individual Family Counselor advocates for youth in the program and handles all documentation and reporting requirements. This individual conducts individual and group sessions, completes intakes and discharges, as well as completes documentation, performs specialized activities and functions specific to the program, and meets regularly with supervisor. The Individual Family Counselor is reliable, dependable, creative and organized. This individual has excellent communication skills, provides leadership, acts as a role model, and has life experiences preparing him or her to relate positively to youth.
- MSW, MHS, or Master’s in a social work related field
- Two years’ experience working with homeless youth and / or youth aging out of foster care providing counseling and case management services
- Excellent driving skills and current driver’s license with a driving record of at least three years
- Vehicle with current insurance and registration
