Job Description:
The Bilingual Nurse Position will be held by an individual that will provide care to clients and excels in standards of care while following the ANA code of ethics and our life-affirming mission. Under the general supervision or the Executive Director, the Bilingual Nurse is responsible to report to the Medical Coordinator in a wide variety of clinic functions, planning and performing direct and indirect nursing interventions. The Bilingual Nurse also works in conjunction with physicians, nurses and lay counselors to assure that clients are receiving the best medical and psychosocial care.
Type of Position: Part Time 15 – 20 hours per week
Reports To: Medical Coordinator
Under Supervision of: Medical Coordinator, Medical Director and Executive Director
Location: Kennett Square; but able to float between other centers as needed
Responsibilities:
· An active member of the CCWS medical team
· Supports other English speaking nurses and client advocates with Spanish translation
· Maintains accurate records, care-plans and follow-through on physician’s orders
· Provides education for clients and families to develop an understanding of their health condition in relation to the services offered in the center
· Ability to meet client needs and follows safe nursing practices
· Ability to assure accurate implementation of physician’s orders and advises correct follow-up
· Supports the trainings of other nurses
· Ability to perform medical duties which include education, urine pregnancy testing, prenatal vitamin issuance, vital signs and charting in both English and Spanish
· Works closely with and assists the Medical Coordinator
· Maintains and grows our community/professional relationships
· Able to meet the physical demands of the position which includes (67%-100%) sitting, standing, and walking; (1%-33%) push, pull and lift up to 20 pounds; (1%-33%) reach, handle, and manipulate objects
· Watches trends in clients or needs and reports to Medical Coordinator
· Able to attend speaking engagements and outreach opportunities as a representative
· Assists in recruitment of qualified medical team volunteers
· Participates in establishing and attending in-service meetings/trainings
· Ability to pursue knowledge regarding obstetrical, management and gynecological in women’s health
Education Qualifications:
· Degree and active license in nursing which is in good standing order with the state medical board
· Bilingual in English and Spanish
· Exhibits strong skills and confidence in interpretive communication
· Possess computer and smartphone skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Social Media sites and inputting data electronically

· Ability to follow Matthew 18 example of conflict resolution
· Has excellent communication skills and is comfortable with public speaking
· Maintains a consistent life-affirming life style and abstains from referring/advising for an abortion
