Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Marketing and Design Coordinator. This full-time benefits-eligible position requires someone who has demonstrated graphic design skills and abilities, skills in using Adobe Creative Suite and designing for web and mobile applications, and who has the ability to positively contribute to an anti-racist organization and assist in dismantling structural racism in marketing. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the Marketing and Communications Department in creating cohesive marketing plans and exceptional print and digital collateral that promotes CTC’s onstage and classroom programming, in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications, Director of Education, Theatre Arts Training Manager, and Content, Design, and Digital Manager. This position will primarily split their time between marketing and design for CTC’s productions and CTC’s Theatre Arts Training programs. Design work will be focused on graphic design and creating collateral for print and digital advertising of shows, classes, and camps. Marketing strategy work will be focused on helping guide marketing plans for promotion of CTC classes and camps, and executing those plans through design of digital advertising, social media, email, and website.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Design and Digital Content
• With support and guidance from the Content, Design, and Digital Manager, serve as primary designer for Education Department design projects, including print and digital advertising, program brochures, website presence, and promotional emails
• Support Marketing Department in using brand guidelines and institutional standards to create multimedia design collateral including advertising, promotional materials, signage, invitations, publications, as well as creating digital collateral for the website, emails, and social media
• Serve as bridge between the Marketing and Education Departments, representing the Marketing and Communications Department in Education meetings and bringing the perspective of the Education Department into full team Marketing and Communications meetings
• Assist in generating organizational video content including shooting footage, interviewing artists and editing footage
• Support the Design Team with additional projects as assigned by the Content, Design, and Digital Manager
• Offer input on strategy, show positioning, messaging, and related subjects in conjunction with the rest of the CTC marketing team
Collaborate with all staff in the furtherance of CTC’s goal of being an anti-racist theatre that works towards Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
• Encourage and empower everyone to speak out against racist workplace practices and policies
• Study topics that lead to a deeper understanding of how white supremacy, racial violence, and systemic racism have shaped American society and how that shapes CTC’s workplace and the lives of CTC employees
• Positively contribute to the ACT One platform, creating a future where our theatre is a home for all people, all families, reflective of our community

Experience
• Demonstrated skill and ability in graphic design
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability in working with, or supporting, arts or educational programming is preferred but not required
• Demonstrated ability to excel in both collaborative and self-directed projects
• Demonstrated technical design skills, including expertise in Adobe Creative Suite required
• Demonstrated skill to design for web and mobile applications desirable
• Strong typographic ability and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to managing commercial print production

COMPENSATION
The starting pay range for this full-time position is an hourly rate between $22.50 and $25.00. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance; short-term and long-term disability and life insurance; vacation and sick leave; nine paid holidays; and a 403(b) retirement savings plan.
