Health & Wellness Internship:
The Virginia Beach Fire Department’s Safety Bureau prioritizes employee health and safety through a comprehensive plan aimed at eliminating hazards and minimizing risks. The Health and Safety Coordinator manages the Fire Department’s Wellness Center, supports police wellness initiatives, and leads fitness evaluations, group workouts, and training for firefighters and police officers. They are searching for a Fall Health and Wellness Intern to assist in their goal.
Required Education: Graduate level student working towards degree in exercise physiology, kinesiology, or related field.

Duties:
- Assist with enhancing wellness initiatives, new hire fitness evaluations, and
recruit physical training sessions for police and fire. - Attending fire station and police precinct wellness visits.
- Leading morning or evening workout sessions for incumbent first
responders. - Assist with data collection and entry.

Expected Duration: 6 Months
Expected Schedule / Hours: 20-30 hours per week.
