Job Description: Investment Analyst
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with Senior Associates and Principals to build and maintain complex financial models for both real estate and operating company investments incorporating the following concepts and structures:
- Cap rates
- Debt amortization schedules
- Mortgage financing structures
- Lease analysis
- Enterprise valuation analysis
- Cash flow projections
- Working capital analysis
- Scenario modeling
- Risk-return profiles
- Perform in-depth market research, including analyzing comparable transactions, industry trends, geographic markets, and competitive landscapes to identify investment opportunities and risks.
- Support investment due diligence (both corporate and real estate), including reviewing financial statements, property performance metrics, and risk factors.
- Support preparation of investment presentations, pitch decks, memos and supporting materials for internal committees, investors, and partners.
- Support capital raising efforts with completion of due diligence questionnaires and public facing profiles about the firm and other requests from limited partners
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier undergraduate program with a major in business, finance, economics or related.
- Prior experience in investment banking, commercial real estate, management consulting, private equity, or a financial institution.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and generate insights. Passion for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial approach to investment opportunities.
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Preference for experience with Real Estate, Investor and Corporate Databases – CoStar, Green Street, Preqin, CapIQ etc.
Additional Details:
- The position is expected to begin in April/May 2025 for a summer position with the potential for a full-time role for recent graduates.
- Preference for in-office work with flexibility for a hybrid role as needed.
- This is a paid position, with compensation commensurate with the candidate’s experience and job level.
