Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, located on Long Island, New York, is presently seeking a Research Technician I for an immediate position in the Dos Santos Laboratory.
The research technician will work under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) on research projects, supporting experiments and basic data analysis.
In addition, the candidate will contribute to lab organizational matters such as ordering supplies, maintaining stocks and overseeing equipment. The role will perform mice genotyping, monitoring of tumor growth and dissociation of mouse tissues and tumor.
EDUCATION: A BS or associated degree in related area of Science (microbiology, molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology or related field).
EXPERIENCE: Hands-on training in basic DNA manipulation such as restriction digests, ligations, PCRs and maxi-preps, Hands-on training in basic tissue culture
OTHER SKILLS: Strong communication, organization and record keeping skills
