The RN Clinical Educator is responsible for promoting best practice through staff development and education to ensure optimal and safe patient outcomes. In collaboration with clinical leaders and staff across all disciplines and departments to assess, plan, develop, implement, evaluate and revise orientation and educational programming for clinical personnel as indicated or requested. The incumbent acts as a key resource in the orientation and ongoing education of CommUnityCare clinical staff. Educational programs typically include, but are not limited to orientation, continuing education and in‐services. Other services may include, but are not limited to process, performance and service‐delivery consultation and contributions to the organization through committees and workgroups.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Associates degree in Nursing
PREFERRED EDUCATION. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of relevant nursing experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting. Evidence
of excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in orientation and education of nursing staff in a clinical setting. Experience in
program design and evaluation. Knowledge and experience in adult education and learning principles
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current license to practice nursing in the State of Texas. American Heart Association
or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:Nursing Professional Development Certification
