POSITION OVERVIEW
Summary/Objective
Cornerstone Government Affairs’ (Cornerstone) Public Affairs Intern Program provides a unique opportunity for selected candidates to gain first-hand experience and exposure to the fast-paced work environment surrounding the government relations and consulting environment in Washington, D.C.
Our Public Affairs internship offers students and graduates the opportunity to become an integral part of our public affairs team. This internship provides experience in drafting and executing full public affairs campaigns, pitching reporters, creating content, writing and editing social media, press releases and more.
The ideal candidate has a vested interest in public affairs, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to adapt, collaborate and a willingness to express new ideas.
Selected candidates will be a part of a fun, dynamic and evolving team at Cornerstone. The right candidate should be passionate about strategic communications, research, writing and be able to work within tight deadlines.
While preference is given to candidates who can commit to a full-time work schedule, we also regularly accommodate part-time interns. Cornerstone pays interns $17.50 per hour on a biweekly basis, subject to required taxes. We also work with students who would like to receive credit hours.
Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities (Full Time Preferred)
Full-Time Hours: 35-40 hours per week
Part-Time Hours: 25-35 hours per week
