The Blue Ball Barn at Alapocas Run State Park is home to the Delaware Folk Art Collection. The collection features pieces from 54 Delaware artists. In addition to the substantial collection, the Division of Parks and Recreation has many other pieces stored in an offsite location. The Folk Art Collection Intern will be responsible for cataloging all of the stored pieces, as well as creating a rotation plan for the pieces on display and in storage. The Intern will also be responsible for researching new acquisitions for the collection, and researching and creating a housekeeping plan for the display pieces. The Intern will work with park staff, including industry professionals. The Intern must be able to drive and maintain a valid driver’s license, a park vehicle will be made available to them to travel between the park and the storage facility or other park locations.
