The Electrical Engineering Intern will work under the direction of senior level engineers in the Sensors group. Tasking may include data collection, data processing, lab testing of electronics, documentation of test results, soldering/rework of prototype electronics, field test and data collection, embedded firmware development, and test software development.
Qualifications Required (Skills)
- Minimum 2 years of course work toward BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Ability to document test planning, configuration, and results
- Ability to execute electronics test procedures
- Experience/Coursework with basic lab and electronic test equipment
- Experience/Coursework with data manipulation and processing using MATLAB or equivalent tools
- THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A U.S. TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
Qualifications Desired
- Active and current Secret or TS/SCI
- Experience/Coursework with basic assembly/rework stations (soldering iron, mechanical assembly)
- Experience/Coursework with electronics hardware development
- Experience/Coursework with sensor system development
- Experience/Coursework using circuit simulation tools such as LTSpice
- Experience/Coursework using Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design tools such as Altium Designer, or equivalent
- Experience/Coursework with embedded software development for control or digital signal processing purposes
- Experience/Coursework with LabVIEW or other test software development tools
- Experience/Coursework with FPGA development (coding, simulation, synthesis)
