Evercore seeks to hire an 2021 Summer Analyst for the Equity Capital Markets team in the New York, NY office.
The Evercore Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program designed to provide highly motivated undergraduates with a representative experience in strategic capital markets advisory. The Program seeks intelligent, mature individuals with the desire and flexibility to work in a fast paced environment and learn on the job.
What Are We Looking For?
Evercore’s ECM practice is populated with professionals who are the top strategic capital markets advisors in their respective industries, with deep relationships and significant experience in their respective sectors. Deal teams at Evercore are typically small – often no more than four people – and as such, junior bankers have significant, direct exposure to and interaction with partners, clients and other senior professionals.
Ideal candidates to join the team should have an interest in the capital markets, ability to work across products, sectors and roles and an interest in gaining experience in capital markets advisory. Candidates should be self-starters that are looking to join a very fast-growing area of investment banking.
What Would You Be Working On:
Assignments completed by the Evercore team have ranged from acting as GM’s sole financial advisor on its $21bn IPO (a 2+ year assignment), selling PNC Financial’s ~$14.4bn stake in BlackRock or even bookrunning a ~$50 million follow-on offering for a biotech company. While traditional equities products (IPOs, follow-ons, convertibles, derivatives, etc.) are a core part of our value proposition, capital markets advisory around M&A, dual-track processes, spin-offs, and merger structuring is equally critical. Evercore has recently served as a bookrunner on some of the largest and most prominent transactions in the U.S., including IPOs for SelectQuote, Nkarta, Avantor, Levi’s, Elanco and MGM Growth Properties, as well as follow-ons for BlackRock, Danaher, Centene, Ascendis and Iron Mountain. Our recent advisory work includes assignments such as the multi-part separation of DowDuPont, the IPO of Parsons, follow-ons for Hilton & GM, as well as convertible bond offerings for Danaher, Energizer and Halozyme. As a core part of our growing team, our focus will be both on incorporating the right professional with complementary skills to the team and mentoring that person’s development in what will likely be a number of new skill-sets.
What are the Specific Qualifications?

- Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral
- Strong work ethic
