EYEJ empowers young people to be advocates for change through YODJ: Youth Discussing Justice and its Youth Council. The EYEJ community includes 1,200 diverse adult members, donors, allies, and organizations who engage with and learn about social justice issues through dialogue and implementing solutions with over 1,700 young people and participation in programs.
Job Title: Executive Assistant
Immediate Supervisor: Executive Director
Time: Part-Time during business hours (20 hours/wk.flexible), including occasional events
Location: Virtual or In Person role
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelorʼs Degree (Master’s is a plus)
Minimum Years of Experience: 2-7 Years Experience
Certification(s) Required: Experience with Salesforce and Quickbooks is a plus.
Primary Objective: Responsible for administrative and operational support to the Executive Director.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT: Project responsibilities include organizational, business, and logistical support and service to ensure successful completion of tasks on a timely basis and within budget. Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with CRM and other enterprise systems required.
PROJECT SUPPORT: Manages operational objectives as assigned, demonstrating a high level of initiative as well as the ability to think ahead and act in a proactive manner. Coordinates and implements the process for reporting and documentation of information related to projects/functions such as strategic planning, assisting with the development of action plans, implementing customer-service standards, and resolving problems.
SCHEDULING: Serves as a central point of contact for scheduling of executive-level and external constituent meetings exercising discretion and judgment to ensure effective use of time. Ensures oversight of complex and detailed calendar, including scheduling of appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements, identifying issues, and creating options to resolve scheduling issues that arise. This position provides support to the Executive Director and other officers as needed.
MEETING AND TEAM BUILDING SUPPORT: Coordinates and prepares materials to support meetings as assigned, ensuring logistics for greeting/welcoming guests are completed. Assists with the preparation of all Executive Director-led meeting notices, logistics, and meeting follow-up in a timely manner. Attends regular development leadership meetings and prepares minutes for the same. Attends and other meetings as assigned, drafting minutes for affiliated entities.
COMMUNICATION: Creates presentations, talking points, and other written materials for internal and external presentations by ED. Works with project teams in correlation to EYEJ initiatives. Leads monthly internal Round-Up Newsletter.
DOCUMENTATION, FUNDRAISING, PUBLIC SPEAKING, and PRESS PREP: Createsdocuments, letters, talking points, and other written materials for internal and external presentations. Works with project teams in correlation to EYEJ initiatives. Leads monthly internal Round-Up Newsletter.
TECHNOLOGY: Helps with the implementation of efficient processes for the organization.Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Ability to work thoroughly, with attention to detail and executive-level decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
