and organizations who engage with and learn about social justice issues through dialogue with over
1,600 young people and participation in programs such as EYEJ Speaks and town halls.
JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Operations Lead
Immediate Supervisor: Executive Director of EYEJ
Time: Full-Time during work week, with occasional events on weekends and weeknights
Location: Virtual role
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelorʼs Degree (Master’s is a plus)
Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years of experience in Finance, HR, and/or Operations work
Certification(s) Required: Experience with Salesforce and Quickbooks is a plus.
Primary Objective: Responsible for the operational success of EYEJ. This includes overseeing and
helping implement the HR process, and assisting with Finance and Operation processes.
Pay scale: $60,000 to $70,000/yr.

JOB SUMMARY:
Operations:
• Partner and support of the wider EYEYJ strategic plan, including working with senior leadership
for implementation
• Managing day to day operations, including functions such as maintaining federal, state and local
reporting deadlines and registrations.
Finance:
• Manage monthly bookkeeping for EYEJ finances, including managing expense reports,
preparing for month end reconciliation using Quickbooks, and working with the accounting team
on specific EYEJ projects.
• Work with senior leadership to set long range budget and financial goals
• Develop operating budget and management

Human Resources:
• Creating and cultivating an HR Plan, including but not limited to:
• Working with external Salesforce Consultant to lead implementation of HR Salesforce.
• Implementation and management of the Employee Handbook
• Leadership and personnel development training
• Handling the entire employee lifecycle (onboarding, career progression and transitions)
• Enhancing culture with internal communication strategy and supporting internal team
development
• Working with executive director for EYEJ HR initiatives
• Managing EYEJ HR Compliance training and legal requirements.
• Implementation and creation of Evaluation process for EYEJ team
Organization Operations:
• Understands the EYEJ mission and brand well, and commits to upholding and embracing the
organization’s mission
• Partners with Executive Director 1 on 1 in running a stable, smooth, and healthy operation
including lending management support to Discussion Series Director
• Actively engages and energizes EYEJ volunteers, board directors, team, Millennial Board and
funders with updates, information and happenings surrounding EYEJ and the persons they serve

Technology Requirements:
• Excellent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive/Google Docs
• Experience with Social Media (Facebook, Linked In, Instagram)
• Experience with Slack and Trello preferred
• Experience with Salesforce and Quickbooks a plus
