Our credit-eligible internship opportunities are a vital part of our business.
With students coming to us from various high schools, tech centers, colleges, and universities throughout the United States. Including, but not limited to: University of Dayton, Carnegie Mellon University, Ohio State University, University of Miami (FL), Villanova University, Temple University, Spelman College, Georgetown University & Princeton University
Their experience will span the duration of a full semester/ quarter, and will include at least 240 on-site (not virtual) work hours. Students will work an average of 15 hours per week during the academic year and nearly 20 hours per week during the summer.
All of their work is directly related to the student’s major/ course of study, and is facilitated by a Head Photographer for the extent of the assignment.
Both the Head Photographer(s) & student will meet regularly to define learning objectives which were previously outlined by upper management, and will check each student’s progress.
The assignment will end with an end-term evaluation that the Head Photographer will complete for each student.
We will work with each institution to help our Interns to meet the requirements for credit.
Students will learn & apply skills that will allow them further growth in the areas of:
1.) Commercial, fine art, family, seniors, and sports digital photography
2.) Retouching and editing images
3.) Various lighting techniques
4.) Posing (hand & foot placement)
5.) Calibration & tethering
6.) Equipment set-up & breakdown
7.) Pre + post assignment paperwork
8.) Submitting images to the lab
9.) On the job problem solving & trouble shooting
10.) Posting images online (i.e. website, Facebook, etc.)
11.) Professionalism/ client interaction/ dress code
12.) Mailing documents/ images
