The TechLab is a virtual team that researches and analyze new technologies broadly relevant to digital currencies and other payment, clearing, and settlement activities. The team conducts hands-on research to further the Federal Reserve’s understanding of specific technologies and supports development of policy views and oversight frameworks for new technologies. The TechLab intern will support the TechLab’s ongoing digital currencies experimentation work. Potential projects will focus on topics such as distributed ledgers, digital objects, digital identities, programming language interoperability, data storage, cybersecurity, and IT hardware. Specific projects will depend on the intern’s knowledge base and interest. The TechLab expects interns to contribute written work and code product as part of their assignments. Interns will work up to 40 hours per week.

This internship can be completed virtually. US Citizenship is required for all Board internships and applicants must be current students, graduating from their program in Fall 2022 or later.
