About Us – Cardiology Unit
- Located on the second floor at Freeman Hospital West
- Cardiology is a fast-paced, high-energy, procedurally driven unit caring for patients with cardiac or vascular ailments
- 45-bed unit focused on “anything and everything HEART!”
- Bedside care is delivered by a team of high-quality nursing staff consisting of Registered Nurses, New Graduate Nurses, Unit Techs and Unit Secretaries
- Weekend option program to allow for less weekend shift requirements
Working under the direction of, and in collaboration with the director of Cardiology. Leads the cardiology team to provide appropriate care through use of nursing process in collaboration with established policy and institutional philosophy. Works jointly with, assistant director, director, charge nurses, physicians, mid-level providers and staff to develop the department’s mission, vision, values, goals, policies and procedures.
You’ll need a Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. Applicants must display standards of the Freeman Five-Star Promise which include Teamwork, Ownership, Compassion, Communication, and Professionalism. Must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation.
