The intern will work with fine artist Ivana George, to find and cultivate relationships with new audiences for her artworks through digital communications projects. The intern will gain training and practical experience in marketing and digital communications. The tools of these strategies include target audience research, blogging, video blogging, strategic organic social media, email marketing campaigns, advertising campaigns on social media and public relations campaigns. The student will be provided with educational content to build knowledge on these topics.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic this internship will be conducted remotely via video conference. Therefore applicants outside the geographic area (Massachusetts) where artist Ivana George resides will be considered. Student needs to be able to earn academic credit to participate in the internship. Hours are flexible to meet the student schedule. Ivana George is available to meet virtually between Tuesdays- Saturdays. The commitment is 9-20 hours per week depending on the credits being earned by the student and the educational requirements of the student’s educational institution.

Help develop strategy for organic social media
Help execute organic social media campaigns
Assist with setup of social media advertising campaigns
Write and publish blog posts on Ivana’s website
Help execute public relations campaign to get Ivana’s artworks featured on other blogs and websites
Use analytics tools to evaluate results of marketing efforts and create reports
Help develop ideas for improvement of marketing results
Use analytics tools to evaluate customer experience on website and landing pages
A/B Test website pages and landing pages to improve conversion of email subscribers and sales
Help develop strategy to improve user experience and search engine optimization on company website and implement the changes
Qualifications
Seeking applicants with strong organizational skills, clear and concise writing skills, computer skills, familiarity with Linked In, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest social media platforms, and the ability to work independently with direction and mentorship of the supervisor. Knowledge of basic photo and/or video editing would be desired in a candidate. Training or experience with marketing analytics tools would be a desired but not required qualification. Applicants within the eastern or central time zone will be preferred. Students with majors or minors in Public Relations, Marketing, Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship, or Digital Communications will be preferred. Students with visual arts or film/video production majors who have relevant experience or course work in marketing, public relations, entrepreneurship or digital communications may also apply.
