Internship Student – Mechanical Engineer
§ Third-year bachelor’s student or scheduled to graduate in the year following the internship in an engineering program (Honours in Mechanical Engineering)
§ A previous internship in food and beverage, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or other industries, either for an equipment manufacturer, a manufacturing plant or a consulting firm, an asset
§ CAD drawing capabilities
§ Design and construction of HVAC systems
§ Knowledge in pipe stress analysis and process piping design is an asset.
§ Prepare drawings and specifications.
§ Participate in client needs analysis and project definition.
§ Knowledge of Design of plant utilities, such as:
o Plumbing systems (drainage, water distribution, emergency shower, etc.)
o Compressed air systems
o Boiler, steam & condensate, and heating systems
o Chiller and cooling systems
§ Team spirit
§ Strong Analytical skills
Reporting to a skilled professional, the trainee will collaborate on all aspects of challenging projects, from conception to commissioning including making surveys, drawing CAD plans, reviewing shop drawings, developing concepts, and writing specifications, preparing cost estimates, site supervision, etc.
