Position Summary
The Latino Center of the Midlands (LCM) is looking for Siembra Nebraska Team Manager to support our mission and the Latino community. Siembra Nebraska provides unique work experiences and enrichment opportunities to young Latinos and recent immigrants between the ages of 16-24 years of age. The professional in this position will be driven to grow and expand the reach of the Siembra Nebraska program to prepare our future workforce.

LCM is committed to expanding the reach of our programming and developing our staff; therefore, this position has the potential to grow into a Director position within 18-24 months.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Siembra Nebraska Team Manager is responsible for the following:
Guide strategic and programmatic goals and create operational plans for implementation.
Advise and guide programmatic growth and development; foster new community partners to increase programmatic reach and liaison with current partners to ensure consistent communication and coordination of efforts.
Responsible for recruitment of student interns by establishing strong partnerships and pipelines with community partners, agencies and schools; successfully support students through the application, matching and placement processes to ensure high engagement and alignment to career interests.
Facilitate partnerships with community stakeholders to develop unique and enriching work experiences for youth and young adults by assessing and facilitating connections between available resources and talents.
Recruitment, hiring and direct oversight of Project Coordinators, including evaluation of job performance, attainment of intended programmatic outcomes, and oversee timesheets and work projects of programmatic staff.
Craft and manage annual programmatic budgets ensuring Project Coordinators, interns and project partners have necessary supplies and materials for high-quality work experiences; provide guidance for budget growth as the reach and offerings of Siembra Nebraska grows.
Guide program practices for internship entrance, feedback and continuous improvement processes.
Facilitate data collection among project partners and program staff; complete analysis and reporting to LCM leadership, Project Coordinators, stakeholders and funders as needed.
Assist LCM’s Executive Director and development staff identify funding models and collaborative grant opportunities to support programmatic growth and innovation.
Participate in meetings, task forces, advisories, etc. and speak before community stakeholders on behalf of the program and LCM.
Assist with special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee Program Assistant and 5+ seasonal Project Coordinators.

Workforce Knowledge and Experience – Possess understanding of workforce pipelines across multiple industries and sectors, knowledgeable of existing resources in workforce development and able to identify new approaches and opportunities to advance the program.
Program Development Experience – Able to develop and implement a plan to carry out Siembra Nebraska goals including internship design and planning, fostering new partnerships, and articulating program vision to stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial Skills and Approach – Ability to turn ideas into action; able to plan and manage projects in order to achieve objectives using creativity, initiative, tenacity, teamwork, understanding of risk, and sense of responsibility.
Collaborative – Ability to move staff and stakeholders toward a common goal through effective communication, emotional intelligence and respect for diversity.
Conflict Resolution – Guide problem-solving among stakeholders and partners, accounting for the organizational needs and goals of each; ability to identify opportunities to clarify communication and address the needs of multiple stakeholders.
Planning/Organizing – Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Three (3) or more years of experience in workforce development, human resources, education, youth development or related field.
Two (2) or more years of experience in program planning and budgets, management of staff and activities, and implementation and evaluation of program plans.
Adept at implementing and operating Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funded programs preferred; and/or experience in career guidance and career pipeline development.
An established, strong professional network that includes multi-sector employers, educational institutions and agencies serving youth is preferred.
Personal and professional qualities that allow for effective, working relationships with staff, multiple partners and community leaders.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required; degrees in business, education, human resources, leadership, nonprofit management, public administration or related field preferred.
Two to five (2-5) years related experience and/or training in workforce development, program development, human resources and/or education/youth development preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in Spanish and English preferred, but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.
