LCOR is seeking a highly analytical and driven Acquisitions Analyst to join our Acquisitions team. This role will support our acquisition efforts by performing financial analysis, market research, underwriting, and due diligence for potential real estate investment opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a solid foundation in real estate finance, and will have a keen interest in identifying and executing high-value investment strategies.
The Acquisitions Analyst position is intended to be a 2-year program with the potential opportunity to advance within the company at the conclusion of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed underwriting models and various other financial analysis materials for potential acquisitions
- Create investor pitch materials related to investment offerings (strategies, development projects, individual transactions, etc.)
- Assist in the preparation of investment memorandums, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders, investment committees, and current & prospective investors.
- Perform comprehensive market research to identify trends, comparable property values, and key drivers influencing real estate investments.
- Evaluate and support the due diligence process by reviewing legal documents, property inspections, title reports, and other critical information.
- Maintain and track the acquisition pipeline, including relevant metrics related to all evaluated transactions.
- Build and foster relationships with brokers, sellers, lenders, investors, and other industry participants.
- Stay informed of real estate market conditions, economic trends, and local property dynamics that could influence acquisition strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in real estate investment, acquisitions, or finance (relevant internship experience preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and real estate valuation concepts and techniques.
- Familiarity with real estate databases and software (e.g., CoStar, ARGUS, or other market research tools) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data to generate actionable insights.
- Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- A strong passion for real estate markets and investment strategies.
