The Legacy Arts Project (LAP) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit arts organization. LAP mission is to preserve, promote, and create Africana arts that honor the history, heritage, and cultures of Africa diaspora in ways that advance healing and wellness, education, and community empowerment.
The organization strives to share the presentation of art throughout the community in order to inspire the upliftment of individuals within the urban neighborhoods of Pittsburgh.
Interns will help support the mission of the LAP by providing support for program and operational tasks. The time commitment is 10-20 hours per week. Time is scheduled based on the LAP work schedule and interns class schedule. While interns will be supervised day to day by their assigned LAP staff person, the Director of Program and Services will be the primary staff person who monitors interns progress and be available for questions and directions as needed.
