Lockton’s Summer Associate Program is a paid, 10-week in-person internship, held 6/2/2025 – 8/8/2025. The program kicks-off with an orientation to Lockton and immersive training in insurance and risk finance. Interns are placed with a designated Lockton mentor, although they work with all associates in their respective team over the course of the internship. During the final week of the program, interns will work together on a project demonstrating the culmination of their experience, which they present to senior Lockton executives.
While each internship differs based on intern interests and team needs, typical duties include researching and performing diligence on prospects, clients, or industries; preparing deliverables and attending client meetings; performing exposure comparisons and audit reconciliations; and preparing loss summaries and data analysis workbooks.

High-performing interns are skilled communicators and quick learners, with a desire to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment. We look for individuals who are inquisitive, intellectually curious, and able to manage and prioritize competing priorities effectively. Ideal candidates are motivated to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and formulate solutions to practical problems.
Requirements
- Undergraduate student (any major) – rising seniors (Class of 2026) only.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interest in risk management, insurance, and risk financing.
- Desire to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
