Administers anesthesia to patients and monitors their condition during and after anesthesia. Assists with the set-up of anesthesia equipment. Administers Intravenous and Inhalation anesthesia after analysis of patient condition and surgical plan. Monitors surgical patients during General anesthesia, MAC, Conscious sedation and Regional anesthesia. Determines need for fluids and blood products based on patient condition in consultation with the attending anesthesiologist. Oversees intraoperative safety of patient by supervising proper positioning, application of monitors, & regulation of room temperature. Determines postoperative care and PACU anesthesia orders in collaboration with an attending anesthesiologist
Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, NYS RN License, current registration, CRNA board certification, BLS, and ACLS required.
