Duties
The following duties are listed at the full performance GS-09 level:
- Assists with coordinating the Planning and Environmental Compliance Program by ensuring all environmental quality matters are fully considered in the planning and compliance process, ensuring projects and programs adhere to policies, guidelines, and procedures of the agency, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements and the decision-making process is documented and complete.
- As an interdisciplinary team member, the employee is responsible for organizing and planning, environmental reviews, and the public involvement process for assigned projects and programs.
- Communicates and develops working relationships with park staff, pubic, key stakeholders, agencies, and tribes to encourage and facilitate cooperative, regional planning and public involvement for the environmental review process.
- Organizes and conducts public meetings, completes briefing statements, and public information releases concerning park planning and related management action
- Analyzes, organizes, displays data, and recommends alternative and succinct solutions.
