In this role, you will work under direct supervision to learn and apply various advanced analytic techniques (e.g. Generalized Linear Models or Machine Learning) as well as insurance concepts through reading, training sessions and work assignments. Your projects will help determine pricing and market segmentation opportunities needed to create business strategies for pricing and underwriting. You may also assist with larger or more complex projects in the planning, design, and/or analysis phases, working closely with a colleague or manager.
You will use existing data warehouse and pricing databases while learning to source additional data or combine multiple sources in order to complete your analyses. Additionally, you will learn to document your assumptions, methods, sources, and considerations in order to increase reproducibility of your work.

Skills that would set a candidate apart: Commitment to thinking critically and strategically while applying analysis and problem-solving skills. Pairing excellent communication skills to effectively describe results to a wide knowledge-based audience. Prior statistical, visualization and relational database programming experience with the ability to learn new computer software a plus. Experience in predictive modeling, especially on Machine Learning is valued.
