QoreInsights is on a mission to make evidence-based instructional a reality at scale. We are a core team of research-practitioners with deep experience as educators, researchers, and entrepreneurs. We are a pre-seed, bootstrapped startup, which presents an exciting opportunity to gain experience in an rapidly growing industry.
The research intern/assistant will help with a variety of research related tasks, to potentially include literature reviews and syntheses, instrument/research design, data gathering, data management, data analysis, writing for publication, and/or administrative tasks to support this work. We anticipate that the internship will require 10-20 hours per week and can be conducted remotely.
Current opportunities exist to assist with:
- conducting a review of the evidence for non-academic factors that impact student achievement (especially those related to Culturally Responsive Teaching), how these dispositions and the environments that support them are measured, and how best to implement them in schools;
- planning for and execution of pilot research studies of QoreInsights’ primary product, the Classroom Education Plan, a data-driven teacher instructional support system.
We are looking for interns who have some relevant skills or experience that will be further developed via this opportunity, although we will consider those with very strong writing ability. More advanced skills could lead to a part-time research assistant position.
The candidate should be able to conduct online and library research, quickly synthesize large amounts of information, and communicate effectively orally and in writing. The candidate should be able to work independently, handle multiple and often challenging and ambiguous tasks, and meet deadlines.
