Job Title: Social Media Intern / Marketing Intern / Digital Media Intern
Kyle Corbett is a successful entrepreneur, author, actor, comedian, podcaster, business consultant, and motivational speaker. We are looking for two social media interns to work across multiple platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LibSyn, Tailwind App) to promote various projects (novel, podcast, comedy, small business, etc.) and Kyle Corbett’s personal brand. You will be writing captions based on guidelines and already existing content, writing blogs, creating a content schedule, and uploading pictures, videos, and podcasts. We are looking to craft an authentic, humorous, and motivational channel/brand. We want someone who can communicate that to our audience. If you love multitasking, moving at a quick pace, and researching the latest trends in social media, marketing, branding, and social psychology; then you will be a great fit!
The Kyle Corbett Social Media Internship provides students with mentorship and practical experience in social media management, content creation, and brand marketing. It also provides an opportunity for the student(s) to be independent, creative, and have ownership of their work. They will learn and take direction from the internship coordinator as well as Kyle Corbett, who has a degree in Social Psychology and is a lifelong student of branding and marketing. The intern(s) will also have the opportunity to present their own ideas, content, and research for consideration and feedback.
The position will be unpaid, possibly for college credit, and approximately 20 hours per week. If you are a good fit for the team there is an opportunity for the position to become a permanent, paid role.
- Education or certification in a communications-related field
- Knowledge of social media platforms
- Ability to read and process analytics information
- Excellent project manager and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of Photoshop and/or photo editing techniques
- Comfortable writing captions and blog posts
- Comfortable with DSLR cameras and basic photography a huge plus
- Able to take direction and work independently
