Scholastic STS Intern Program – Paid Digital Media DescriptionScholastic is seeking a college student to join the Digital Marketing team in the Software Technology Services (STS) Intern Program during summer 2020. The ideal candidate is data-driven, strategic-minded, has excellent problem-solving skills, and possesses an eagerness to learn new skills and help contribute to the growth of our digital marketing program.The Paid Digital Media intern role is open to rising college seniors that are currently studying and/or have experience in marketing, finance, digital communications, management information systems, or a related program. The role is responsible for helping to develop, execute, and evaluate holistic digital marketing campaigns across display, paid search, and paid social channels.The Intern Program is a 10-week program which will run from June 1, 2020 -August 7, 2020. In order to be considered for this program, you must be rising senior graduating in December 2020 or May 2021. STS is investing in the people, technologies, and processes needed to meet our mission statement “to become a leading technology organization and provider of best in class services to Scholastic and our customers.” The Digital Marketing team on STS helps to connect the dots between marketing, technology and design to communicate Scholastic’s brand story and advance the company’s mission through best-in-class content.Responsibilities:Help build, execute, and manage integrated paid media marketing campaigns on-budget, on-scope from end-to-end in a way that delivers performance results that meets or exceeds goals Work closely with Head of Paid Social and Head of SEM to assist on performance data maintenance, issue identification, solution development, performance reporting and analysis for business unit partners and stakeholdersAssist with paid media ad request intake process, including calendaring and publishing for business unit partners and internal stakeholdersMonitor brand, competitor landscape and industry changesDaily monitoring of new and existing campaigns for KPI performance; troubleshooting and running reports to identify optimization opportunities (audience targeting, ad copy, budget, etc.) Qualifications:Must be a rising senior currently enrolled in an accredited program or universityUnderstanding of basic digital marketing principlesExperience using a range of social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tik TokWorking knowledge of self-service ad platforms like Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, Twitter AdsAbility to work independently as well as part of a team a fast changing environmentStrong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms, technologies and changing market trendsStrong problem-solving and decision-making ability with an enthusiastic willing-to-learn attitudePassionate about digital marketing and technologyProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPointPreferred Skills and Knowledge: (not required for consideration):Experience using web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Kissmetrics, or the like, a plusKnowledge or experience using project tracking/management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or the like, a plusA/B testing experience
