Mission of the Position:

The mission of the Financial Analyst is to be responsible and accountable for managing our Asset Valuation process. This will include the compilation of financial and operational information and data for purposes of analyzing, interpreting, monitoring, and reporting on multifamily properties within our markets. This position will be an integral member of the Business Development Team and will be directly involved in developing investment strategy for our advisory assignments.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Create Financial Models

o Create Thesis Driven Asset Valuations with detailed Financial Analysis, supportive market research, and clear and engaging client presentations

o Proforma analysis including cash flow and debt/equity

o Net Present Value and Discounted Cash Flow

o IRR analysis

o ROI and ROE in relation to acquisition and disposition strategies

  • Project Management

o Create the strategic direction for the messaging, content curation, and marketing materials to be developed

o Ensure development of agreed upon expectations, timelines and project milestones with internal teams at project outset, and ensure management of those expectation, timelines and milestones throughout the process

o Daily responsibilities include collaborating between Business Development, Market Research, and Graphic Design Teams to understand requirements and best solutions.

  • Create Asset Investment Thesis, Strategy and Analysis including

o Acquisition/Reposition/Renovation Plan

o Highest and Best Use Land Valuation

o Ground-Up Development Feasibility Study

o Hold/Sell

  • Market Research and Project Due Diligence

o Rent & Sales Comparable Compilation

o Demographic Studies & Analysis

o Manage ad hoc projects, analyses, and other assignments of varied subject matter

o Stay abreast of local and capital market trends

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of MS Excel
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting (strongly preferred)
  • Understanding of fixed income assets and capital markets
  • Preferred experience with InDesign
  • Exceptional eye to detail and perfectionist
