Career Services seeks an experienced and creative student to be co-producer of our weekly podcast, CS Radio, now entering its twelfth season. CS Radio is distributed as both an audio podcast and on video via YouTube, and is produced in our state-of-the-art studio. The person in this role will be responsible for supervising recording sessions and completing post-production including editing, balancing, and distribution. Opportunities to shape the show’s content and appearance on the show are also possible. In addition to the podcast, this role also assists with creation and/or editing of videos for the Career Services YouTube channel.

This position is for the 2026-2027 academic year, and will start at a mutually agreeable time in August 2026.

Job Description

The Media Producer will attend every recording of CS Radio, monitoring audio levels, camera angles, and ensuring the recording is proceeding properly, as well as keeping an eye on the time. After recording, it is your responsibility to edit and balance the episode, add opening and closing title music, credits, etc., and upload it to our syndication services.

In addition, Career Services staff produces a lot of video content throughout the school year. You may be required to assist in the production and post-production of these videos, which may include: shooting video, conducting interviews, editing pre-filmed material, adding opening/closing titles, adding captioning, etc., and uploading the videos to YouTube and the Career Services website.

This role has flexible work hours, and the recording time of the podcast will be mutually agreed to by the hosts and producer. Production consists of a one-hour session, which must be recorded during CS office hours, M-F 9am-5pm. Editing of the podcast may be done in the studio, or remotely. Software will be provided as needed. Hardware is available in the studio only. If a student wishes to edit remotely, they must provide their own computer.

Qualifications

Experience in audio or video production is a must. Must have proficiency with audio and video production software such as Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere, Audacity, Reaper, Final Cut etc. (Software will be provided by Career Services.) Knowledge of podcast production and the podcast landscape highly favored

Pay Range

Hourly – Hourly Plan, 13.00 USD Hourly
