WordTheatre seeks a Podcast Production Intern to work closely with the Artistic Director and the Operations & Media Manager to deliver weekly episodes for the WordTheatre Short Story Podcast. The intern will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of production from scheduling, editing, promotion, and distribution. The intern will prep interviews, organize the media archive, edit promotional reels, edit episodes, assist in website management, and more. Applicants will be expected to work 20-25 hours per week for a total of 400 hours, with a potential hybrid on-site / remote setting starting in mid-July 2021.
We are looking for an applicant with experience in audio production, cleaning and sweetening. The applicant should be familiar with file management services such as Google Drive and Microsoft Office. The applicant should have an exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take initiative with projects. Professionalism in the workplace will be essential, as there will be engagement with talent. Experience in video editing and Adobe software is appreciated.
The position is open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County. Recent graduates may apply as long as they have completed their degree between May 1 – December 1, 2021.
