WORDTheatre seeks a PR, Marketing and Social Media Intern to work closely with the Artistic Director and Operations & Media Manager to grow and manage WordTheatre’s presence in the digital space and press. The intern will help manage various social media platforms as well as the opportunity to present new ideas for publicity. The intern will design digital flyers, banners and content for social media platforms, as well as digital newsletters for members. Applicants will be expected to work 20-25 hours per week for a total of 400 hours, with a potential hybrid on-site / remote setting starting in mid-July 2021.
We are looking for an applicant with experience in social media management and graphic design. The applicant should be familiar with Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. The applicant should be familiar with file management services such as Google Drive and Microsoft Office. The applicant should have an exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take initiative with projects. Professionalism in the workplace will be essential, as there will be engagement with talent. Experience in video editing is appreciated.
The position is open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County. Recent graduates may apply as long as they have completed their degree between May 1 – December 1, 2021.
