15 hours – 20 Hours / week (3 days/wk, 6:30am-9:30am EST)

Duties: Research and write news stories for XPN Morning Show. May be asked to attend city and/or suburban press conferences & record interviews. Position may include editing interviews into sound bites for newscasts depending on knowledge of digital audio editor.

Qualifications: Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. S/he should be familiar with XPN/NPR style of news writing, and be able to re-write copy. An interest in the music industry is a plus. S/he must be enthusiastic and a quick learner, and be able to work with a minimum of supervision. S/he must have basic computer skills and knowledge of office procedures. Knowledge of digital audio editing systems a plus!
