Duties: Load music for national World Cafe show. Burn CDs for archives and affiliates. Assist with recording of live performances, including load-in, setup, and breakdown of artists. Set up initial edits of recorded sessions in SAW (digital audio workstation). This internship provides an understanding of the production process for a nationally syndicated public radio show, and is an opportunity to learn the basic principles of recording and editing interviews and music.
Candidate must have computer skills and an interest in technology. S/he must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and ability to work under deadline pressure is needed. A desire to explore a career in radio is a plus, as is any previous experience with recording or production equipment.
