The two most common questions we receive from transfer students planning to pursue medical school are as follows:
Q: Not all of the pre-med courses I took at my previous school transferred to Penn for credit. Do I need to take these classes again?
- A: When you apply to medical school you will send transcripts from both schools. If the courses at your previous school fulfilled requirements, they will still do so.
Q: I was involved in a lot of a pre-medical activities at my previous school. How do I get started at Penn?
- A: Join the Career Services pre-health email list through Handshake for important announcements. Review our Pre-Health Resources sheet for an overview of clinical volunteering opportunities.
